The final payment to a team member should include all their entitlements (salary, allowances, leave due, redundancy pay etc.) but deductions should also be made for any outstanding advances or loans etc.. It is the organisation's responsibility to make sure this is the case.

For national contract staff, it is normally your office which will check this. For other staff, your office may need to send details of payments due and deductions to be made, to the head office. Outstanding advances can be a particular challenge. More

The team member should sign for the final payment and confirm in writing that the amount represents the full and final amount due. This will avoid any confusion or disagreement later.
